Everest Advanced Base Camp Trek from Tibet is an incredible adventure trekking in Tibet and the world's highest trek at the base of the North Col via the east Rongphu glacier. Nowhere else on this planet can you hike on a trail to such elevations without needing crampons, ice axes, or mountaineering skills.

As Everest advanced base camp trek is a very high altitude trekking in Tibet, we design this adventure trekking in Tibet, starting from holy Lhasa city and spend three nights there in order to acclimatize to the altitude and then drive slowly towards Old Dingri via Gyantse and Shigatse. In order to acclimatize to the high altitude and to have a successful Everest advanced base camp trek, you will first do a trek from Old Dingri to Everest base camp. Old Dingri is the trekkers gateway to Mount Everest and it is also the turnoff for treks in the Rongshar, Menluntse and Labchigang.

You will be trekking through Langkor monastery and Ganggar village which is so named because of it's location near the Ganggar Ri ( a hill above Dingri ) The top of Ganggar Ri is also one of the finest places for watching the sunset on Mount Everest , the huge massif of Jowo Oyuk, the world's sixth highest peak and Labchigang, the highest summit in the snow-covered range to the southwest.     You will be warmly welcome by our Tibetan guide and driver and accompany you to the holy city of Lhasa along with the view of Bharmaputra, known as Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibetan and a giant stone carved Buddha with more than a thousand years history.

  • Day 2-3 Sightseeing tour in Lhasa, Potala Palace, Jokang temple, Bharkor Bazar, Drepung and Sera monasteries. Hotel on B.B

  • Day 4 Drive from Lhasa to Gyangtse.(3950Mts/ 280Km ) Yeti Hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at around 9Am from your hotel and then drive towards Gyangtse through 3 big mountain passes, Kampa La, Karo La, Simila respectively. Karola is the highest pass among them which is over 5000Mts with it's most beautiful glaciers, beautiful Yamdrok lake emerged as coral color from the top of Kampala pass. You will have your lunch at Nakartse country which is just between the Yamdrok lake and Karola glaciers.

  • Day 5 Drive from Gyangtse to Shigatse. (3900mts/ 90Km ) Mansarovar Hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at around 9Am from your hotel and then drive towards Palchoe monastery for a few minutes. Visit Palchoe monastery and Kubum Pagoda stupa. After the sightseeing, You will have your lunch and then continue your journey to Shigatse by passing one of the biggest farming land in Tibet where people grow barley, wheat, different kinds of vegetables. Pm visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery and old market of Shigatse

  • Day 6 Drive from Shigatse to old Dingri via Sakya monastery, known as Shegar(4350Mts/ 350KM ) Camp on full board

    You will start your tour at around 8.30Am from your hotel and drive through two big mountain passes, Tsola 4500Mts/ Gyatso la 5220Mts and some beautiful villages and the first view of Mount Everest from the foot of Gyatso la pass. You will have your lunch in Sakya after you finish the sightseeing in Sakya monastery.

  • Day 07 Trek Dingri-Langkor monastery(4490mts/ 4 hrs) Camp

    After breakfast, enjoy the beautiful view of Mt Everest, Joyo from the valley of Lungjang and start your trek towards Langkor monastery. We will not follow the southeast motor able road to rongbuk monastery. We will trek northwest of the Lungjiang valley which is the right side of the Langkor Gyachu river. The trail is not a difficult one for today since it is just a up valley to Langkor monastery from Dingri. You will pass by beautiful Gangkar village. If the weather is clear, you will always have good view of Mt Everest and Joyo. We will reach Langkor by lunch time. After Lunch, we will visit phadampa Sangye and Machik’s cave. Langkor monastery is the most sacred pilgrimage site of the entire Lato region ( lato is the Tibetan name of the region after Lhatse until Nyalam which are nearby Himalayan range). In around 11th Century, a famous Indian yogin, Phadampa Sangye founded a hermitage here and spread the teachings of Chod in Tibet for the first time. He had the most foremost Tibetan student Yogini Machik Labdron and Phadampa Sanggye and Machik Labdron delivered a memorable teaching on ethics people of Dingri.

  • Day 08 Trek Langkor monastery-Joyo Base camp(5100mts/5hrs) Camp

    After the breakfast, start your trek and it takes you around 5 hours walk today. It is one of the most beautiful walk today that you will always walk just in front of Joyo Snow mountain which is 8135mts and it is one of the most famous snowcapped mountains in the world where many world famous mountaineers have been climbing. Getting to Joyo Base camp and camp at the basecamp is one of the most memorable adventure camping . Enjoy the beautiful sun set view of Mt Joyo and the Nangpa la Pass.

  • Day 09 Trek Joyo Base camp-foot of Lamna La Pass(4550mts/4-5 hrs) Camp

    After enjoying the breakfast with a fantastic view of Mt Joyo and Nangpa la from you r campsite, start your trek from Joyo Base camp to the south east of Lungjang valley and walk upper part of the Lungjang village. You can sometimes encounter some wild animals including blue sheep, foxes, wolves. There is also a beautiful nomad camp at the foot of Lamna la and you can share the life experience with Tibetan nomads where they graze their flocks of sheep, Yaks and other live stocks.

  • Day 10 Trek foot of Lamna la pass-Dzakarchu river-Rongpu monastery /6-7 hrs )

    After the breakfast, start your trek and as soon you start walking, the steep trail begins and steeply climbs towards the pass of Lamna La(5250mts) while enjoying the dramatic view of Mt Joyo, Lungjang valley and the Nagpa la pass with other snow capped mountains around. After walking around 3 hrs, you will get to the top of the Lamna la and descends into a marshy side valley until you get to Dzakarchu river. Since it is a steeply down walk, it takes you more than 2 hrs to get to the Dzakarchu river. Continue trek in the Dzakarchu valley and after 2 hrs walk, you will encounter the world’s most famous snow mountain, Everest ( Qomo Langma,8848mts) in Tibetan. While you are walking, it is getting closer and closer in your eyes and you do feel very much proud and glad of being close to the world’s highest mountain without having any obstacle from high altitude. After you reach Rongbuk monastery, have lunch and rest afternoon and enjoy the beautiful sun set view of Mt Everest in the evening.

  • Day 11 Trek Rongbuk monastery-Everest Base camp(5200mts/2 hrs)-before east Rongbuk glacier( 5400m/3hrs) Camp

    You will start your trek from Rongpu monastery at around 10 am after enjoying your breakfast and sun rise view of Mt Everest and it will take you two hrs to get there. On the way you can visit a miraculous cave of Mila Repa which is two storey high . After two hrs trek, you get to the Everest base camp. It is the best point of taking photos and enjoying the view of Mt Everest. Have picnic lunch at Everest Base camp and continue to before east Rongbuk glacier - about 3 more hours. After you rest at the camp site, you will walk to east Rongbuk glacier which is only 15 to 20 minutes. You can enjoy the beautiful Rongbuk glacier which some consider to be the most beautiful glacier in the world.

  • Day 12 Before east Rongbuk glacier to the camp site, 5730m, 4 hours ) Camp

    Start you another beautiful adventure trekking in Tibet and again enjoy the most beautiful view of Everest. Today you will trek for 4 hours.

  • Day 13 Trek to the second Base camp, 6200m/3 hrs Camp

    Trek from the campsite to the second base camp, about 3 hours, time to take photos and enjoy the view of Everest and the trail down by following the usual climbers way down. Return to the camp site - about 2 hours.

  • Day 14 Trek to Rongbuk monastery, 5-6 hours and drive to Shegar ( 4050m/100km) Hotel

    Trek from the camp site to Rongbuk monastery which will take 5-6 hours and drive to Shegar.

  • Day 15 Drive from Shegar to Shigatse by van (240km) and from Shigatse to Lhasa by train ( 280km)

    Drive back to Shigatse at the distance of 240km and from Shigatse to Lhasa, you will take train along the Bharmaputra river with a landscape of sandy hills, villages, and Rulak Yungdrung ling at the other side of the river. You will have lunch in a small town called Nyenmo which is the border point between Shigatse and Lhasa .

  • Day 16 Drive from Lhasa to Lhasa Gongkar airport.(3600Mts/ 60Km ) End the trip
