This beautiful Tsurphu Yampachen trekking with Everest Basecamp is both a Tibet cultural and trekking tour. You will start your trek from Lhasa and drive to Tsurphu monastery at the distance of around 60km. You will reach there within an hour and visit Tsurpu monastery.

Tsurphu monastery is the seat of the Karmapa and was founded in the 1180's by the first Karmapa Dusum Kyenpa, some forty years after he established the Karmapa order in Kham, the place where he was born and Tsurphu was the third Karmapa monastery to be built and after the death of the first Karmapa.it became the head monastery for the Sakyapa order.
The monastery is composed of one main assembly hall and some chapels. Within the monastery are some very revered relics of the 16 th Karmapa, as well as statues of Amitabha and Shakyamuni. Tsurphu has 300 monks nowadays.
Tsurphu Yampachen trekking with Everest Basecamp is one of the most beautiful Tibet trekking and during the trek, you will see nomad camps, Dorjeling nunnery, Yamdrok holy lake, Karo La glacier, as well as the cultural heart of the Tsang region, Gyantse and Shigatse, with their Palchoe and Tashi Lhunpo monasteries, the seat of the Penchen Lama.
After three days of Tsurphu Yampachen trekking, you will be picked by jeep and driving towards Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet and it is a must go through during your trip to Mount Everest Basecamp, the world’s highest peak of Mount Chomolangma (Everest) standing 8 Km distant from Rongbuk, the highest monastery in the world.

The last, fantastic viewpoint of the Great Himalayan range including that of Shishapangma from Pekutso and the landscape of beautiful green forest with waterfalls in the gorge of Kyirong Dzongka county which is the border to Tibet and Nepal as well as the birth place of Milarepa who is one of the most famous Yogi of Tibet in the 11th century.

    Today, You will take an interesting transfer which is Rick Show ride in order to have more scenic sightseeing of old Lhasa city and experience the rick show ride on the roof of the world and have fun.

  • Day 3 Sightseeing to Drepung and Sera monasteries. Tibet Heritage hotel or similar

    Our guide will be met you at the hotel and will lead you to Drepung monastery. It is around 7Km from your hotel to Drepung monastery and Drepung is the largest monastery in Tibet and it has more than 600 hundred years history. Afternoon, you will ride to Sera monastery which has around 6Km from your hotel.

  • Day 4 : Lhasa-Tsurphu monastery,4300mts/65Km Camp on Full board

    Start the journey from your hotel and we will drive on the Qinghai Tibet highway for around 35Km on the paved road and then turn left from the main road and drive on the off road for another 25Km. On the way, you will enjoy the beautiful valley, full of villages and enroute, visit Nenang monastery. Reaching Tsurphu monastery, you will also see your beautiful campsite nearby the monastery.   • Day 5: Trek from Tsurphu to Lading,4850mts, 5 hrs camp on Full board

    After breakfast, start your trek from Tsurphu monastery and walk in the small valley with beautiful water stream and some nomad camps. It is an amazing feeling and experience of walking with your Yak packs and Yak men. You can really feel how the original Himalayan business people use Pack Yaks for their transfer in the olden days. You can see flocks of sheep and Yaks grazing on the pasture. Reaching Lading, we can see our campsite and Lading is one of the highest villages that we can see after Tsurphu and all the people in the village live on nomadic lives.

  • Day 6: Trek from Lading to Tongba ,4910mts, 5-6 hrs Camp on Full board

    After breakfast, you will start your trek and today’s scenery is dominated by a bigger pasture, lots of yaks and sheep, nomad camps. You will walk across a high pass, Lasar la,5300mts. From the top of the pass, you will have a fantastic view of Nyenchen Thangla snow capped mountain which is over 7000mts and Mt Tatse and Bitse which are over 6000mts recpectively.

  • Day 7: Trek from Tongba to Dorjeling nunnery,3 hrs and drive to Namtso lake,4718Mts/ 230Km Guest house on BB

    After breakfast, you wills start your trek and we will walk down in the valley and the scenery for today will be dominated by huge valley with some nomads and the Nyenchen Thangla mountain range. You will finally encounter the beautiful Dorjeling nunnery which is inhabited by around 60 nuns and they are the followers of Kagyupa sect. After visiting Dorjeling nunnery, you will meet your vehicles and drive to Namtso lake via Yamba chen. You will have beautiful view of Nyenchen Thangla mountain range on the way.

  • Day 8 Drive from Namtso to Lhasa.(3650Mts/ 250Km ) Mandala hotel on BB

    Am Explore Namtso lake and walk around Tashi Do hermitage where there are lots of caves and small monastery. After this return to Lhasa and free afternoon for souvenirs. NAMTSO LAKE at (4,700Meters) is one of the biggest lakes in Tibet and is 70Km long and 30Km wide. The landscape is dominated by the snow peak of Nyenchen Thangla to the south west of the lake. Tashi Do hermitage stands on a promontory with more than 50 small caves including some small chapels. Pilgrims do a half hour walk (kora) around Tashi Do hermitage.

  • Day 9 Drive from Lhasa to Gyangtse.(3950Mts/ 280Km ) Yeti Hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at around 9Am from your hotel and then drive towards Gyangtse through 3 big mountain passes, Kampa La, Karo La, Simila respectively. Karola is the highest pass among them which is over 5000Mts with it's most beautiful glaciers, beautiful Yamdrok lake emerged as coral color from the top of Kampala pass. You will have your lunch at Nakartse country which is just between the Yamdrok lake and Karola glaciers.

  • Day 10 Drive from Gyangtse to Shigatse. (3900mts/ 90Km ) Mansarovar Hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at around 9Am from your hotel and then drive towards Palchoe monastery for a few minutes. Visit Palchoe monastery and Kubum Pagoda stupa. After the sightseeing, You will have your lunch and then continue your journey to Shigatse by passing one of the biggest farming land in Tibet where people grow barley, wheat, different kinds of vegetables.

  • Day 11 Drive from Shigatse to new Dingri via Sakya monastery, known as Shegar(4050Mts/ 290KM ) Everest hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at around 8.30Am from your hotel and drive through two big mountain passes, Tsola 4500Mts/ Gyatso la 5220Mts and some beautiful villages and the first view ofMount Everest from the foot of Gyatso la pass. You will have your lunch in Sakya after you finish the sightseeing in Sakya monastery.

  • Day 12 Drive from Shegar to Rongbuk monastery. ( 5000Mts/ 100Km Guest house on B.B

    You will start your tour at 9Am and drive through Pangla pass 5000Mts from which you will have a fantastic view of Mount Everest, Lhotse and Makalu respectively which are over 8000Mts. After your lunch in Rongbuk monastery, you will visit the world's highest monastery, Rongbuk. When the sun sets, you will have a fantastic view of Mount Everest in the red colored sun shade.

  • Day 13 Explore Everest Basecamp around Rongbuk monastery.(5000Mts/ & drive to Kyirong town, 2900Mts/270Km Phuntsok Rebsal hotel on B.B

    After breakfast, explore Everest Basecamp around Rongbuk monastery. It is the best viewpoint of enjoying the world's highest mountain and you can take beautiful photos of Mount Everest from Rongbuk monastery. Drive through the shortcut Pangla pass to get to the friendship high way where Old Dingri is located. Old Dingri is one of the popular places to stop a night in order to view mount Everest for tourists especially for those who are unable to go to Mount Everest because of altitude problem. Continue driving to Kyirong town through Pekutso lake, Gungthangla pass and the Kyirong county, Darkar Derdzong cave, the birth place of Milarepa. Finally reaching Kyirong town which is just 27Km from the Nepal Tibet border.

  • Day 14 Drive to Nepal Tibet border, 27Km and then continue to Ktm. (1300Mts/150Km )

    After breakfast, drive down to the Nepal Tibet border in Kyirong at the distance of 27km which will take you around 30 minutes to reach there. Walk across Friendship Bridge , meet by our representative from Nepal , clear immigration procedure and obtain your Nepali visa & transfer to Kathmandu . Driving up and down in the forested mountain with beautiful villages on the slops of the both side mountains.
