- Day 01 Flight Kathmandu - Lhasa Gongkar airport,3600Mts, 60Km . Yak hotel
You will be met our Tibetan guide and accompany to Lhasa city. There are 60Km from Gongkar airport to Lhasa and you will see yarlung Tsangpo ( the Bharma Putra ), Nyethang stone carved Buddha and Lhasa Kyicu river. Check in the hotel and free afternoon for acclimatization.
- Day 02 Lhasa sightseeing, Potala Palace, Jokang & Bhakor Same hotel
You will start your tour at around 9 Am from your hotel and sightseeing to Potala Palace and Jokang temple and Bharkor street .
Potala Palace is the winter palace of the Dalai Lama,built originally in the 7th century and expended to the present size by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17 th century. The Potala Palace is thirteen stories high and it has more than 1000 rooms.
Jokang temple was built in the 7 th century by one of the greatest Tibetan Kings called Songtsen Gampo. The temple is located just in front of your hotel and you can visit the Barkor street after the sightseeing of Jokang temple.
- Day 03 Lhasa sightseeing, Drepung & Sera monasteries Same hotel
At around 9.30, you will be picked up by your guide and driver and then accompany you to the foot of Bhumpari hill by driving for around 10 minutes. Start your hike from the foot of the hill and it takes you around half an hour walk to get to the first stop where there are numerous prayer flags. You will have a fantastic view of the whole Lhasa city including the golden roof of the Potala Palace . After you are done taking photos of the whole Lhasa city from Bhumpari, you can come down to bus parking area and then drive you back to hotel along Lhasa river with the most beautiful view of Lhasa city from the otherside of the Lhasa river. You will be met our Tibetan guide at around 3 Pm and then accompany to Jatson Lhachu orphan school by 20 minutes drive. There you can visit the school with more than a hundred students learning different things like writing, handicrafts etc. Drive back to Ani Tsangkung which is to the south of Jokang by 10 minutes walk. Tsangkung is the biggest nunnery in the centre of Lhasa and it has a very revered cave dates back to the 7 th century in which the 33 rd Tibetan King Songtsan Gampo meditated.
- Day 04 Lhasa - Ganden ( 4,500m ), Tridom Nunney (4325Mts ) House of Shambhala
Today you will be driving to Gaden monastery at the distance of 60 Km .
Ganden Monastery: It is the first monastery of the yellow hat sect, founded in the 14th century by Tsongka psa himself up in a hill . You can see beautiful Tibetan villages and yaks while you are driving up to the monastery from Lhasa . You will continue to Tridom at the distance of 61Km with a very similar scenery including villages.

Today you will be driving to Digung Thil monastery first at the distance of 10Km and Dhigung Thil monastery is the mother monster of Dhigung Kagyupa sect and it has more than 600 years history. After finishing the sightseeing there, you will be driving to Reting Monastery at the distance of around 120Km via Chakla pass and it will take you between 3 and 4 hrs to get there. Reting is the Monastery of the Kadam pa sect in Tibetan Buddhism, founded by Dom Tonpa in the 11th century. The monastery is beautiful located in the sandal wood, like surrounded by a small sandal wood forest.
- Day 06 Reting monastery - Namtso Lake, 4718Mts, 180 Km G.H
Today we will be driving to Lake Namtso , 180Km , takes you there around 4 hrs. You will start the visit to Reting Monastery for an hour starting from 9 Am and then at around 10Am you will head towards to Namtso Lake and get you there around 1 Pm.
- Day 07 Namtso - Lhasa , 3650 Mts, 250Km Yak hotel
Explore the lake and Tashi Do hermitage with numerous caves that you can visit while walking around Tashi Do hermitage and then return to Lhasa at the distance of 250Km and takes you back around 4. You can also visit a primary school on the way back called Doelung Dongkar school. There is not a nice place to be camped on the way because of the rail way.
- Day 08 Drive from Lhasa-Samye monastery-Tsetang.(3600Mts/ 160Km ) Tsetang Hotel on B.B
You will start your tour at 8Am and drive along the Lhasa river where it joins the Bharmaputra river at Chushur bridge. You will leave your vehicle at Samye ferry and take a motor boat to Samye monastery by crossing the Bharmaputra river which takes an hour to get to the other side river and then we will take monastery bus or truck to which takes half an hour to get to Samye monastery. After the Samye monastery sightseeing, you will have lunch in the monastery restaurant and then continue your journey back to ferry side and get to Tsetang after half an hour drive. We will directly drive to Yumbu Lhakang which is 30Km outside of Tsetang town. Visit Yumbu Lhakang and Traduk temple on the way back.
- Day 09 Drive from Tsetang to Gyangtse.(3950Mts/ 360Km ) Yeti Hotel on B.B
You will start your tour at around 8.30Am from your hotel and then drive towards Gyangtse through 3 big mountain passes, Kampa La, Karo La, Simila respectively. Karola is the highest pass among them which is over 5000Mts with it's most beautiful glaciers, beautiful Yamdrok lake emerged as coral color from the top of Kampala pass. You will have your lunch at Nakartse country which is just between the Yamdrok lake and Karola glaciers.
- Day 10 Gyangtse - Shigatse, 3,900mts Mansarovar hotel
Today you will be visiting Palchoe monastery which was built in around 15 th century by local Chieftain Rebtan Kunsang as well as the Kubum Stupa for Rebtan Kunsang's mother's death. After that you will be driving to Shigatse at the distance of 90 Km which will take you around two hrs and enroute visit Shalu Monastery which was built in around 10 th century by Loton Dorje Wangchuk.
Visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery which is the biggest monastery in the Tsang region and it was built in around 15 th century by the first Dalai Lama Gedrun Drup and it is one of the 6 biggest Gelukpa Monasteries in Tibet . In the afternoon, you will be visiting the old market of Shigatse from which you can see lots of different of Tibetan traditional things from the market.
- Day 11 Shigatse - Rongbuk monastery, 5000Mts, 340Km G.H
Today you will be driving to Rongbuk monastery at the distance of 340Km and it will take you around 7 hrs to get to Rongbuk monastery.
- Day 12 Rongbuk monastery - Dingri, 4390Mts, 70Km Snow Leopard hotel
Visit Rongbuk monastery where it has more nuns evethough it is a monastery. Explore Everest Base camp from Rongbuk Monastery by walk which will take 1 and half hrs. Drive to Old Dingri at the distance of 60 Km via Pangla pass 5200Mt
- Day 13 Dingri - Dzangmu, 2300Mts, 180Km -Dzangmu-Ktm, 1300Mts, 128 Km
Today you will be driving at the distance of 180 Km with a view of great Himalayas range including mount Everest, Joyo, Shisha Bangma etc. It will take you around 3hrs and half to reach the border.
Walk across Friendship Bridge , meet by our representative from Nepal , clear immigration procedure and obtain your Nepali visa & transfer to Kathmandu . Driving up and down in the forested mountain with beautiful villages on the slops of the both side mountains.
