Lhasa Ngari Flight Tour is a Mount Kailash tour which fly to Ngari from Lhasa. You will start the Mount Kailash tour in Lhasa and do three days sightseeing around Lhasa and get used to the high altitude of the Tibetan high plateau. After four nights acclimatization in Lhasa, you will be taking a flight from Lhasa airport to Ngari Kunsha airport which is at the elevation of 4500m above sea level. The flight take you two hours and it is one of the most beautiful mountain flights in the world that you will view the vast Tibetan plateau, lots of small and big lakes, many snow capped mountains and the great Indus valley and Sengke Tsangpo.
For the rest of the days, you will explore Mount Kailash, holy lake Mansarovar, three days pilgrimage kora around the sacred Mount Kailash and then overland drive towards Lhasa via Mount Kailash southern route. On the way, you will visit the capital city of Shigatse or the Tsang region and Palchoe monastery in Gyantse.

  • Day 01 Chengdu /Lhassa

    Flight to Gongkar (1 & 40h). One of the most beautiful mountain flight over Nyenchen Thangla range and Bharmaputra river to reach the Tibetan plateau. Transfer to Lhasa . Walk around the Barkor, the spiritual heart of Lhasa in the afternoon. Night in Mandala hotel in B/B on the Barkor

  • Day 02,03 Lhassa

    Two days to visit Lhasa : Imposing Potala palace which dominates the city with its 13 floors of temples, chapels, apartments and gangways. Constructed by the 5th Dalai Lama (XVII century), it contents more than thousand rooms. It's the biggest building of Asia and without doubt one of the most beautiful, for its exterior architectural plan as well as the wealth of the treasure that it holds. Despite the fact that the Chinese want to turn it into a museum, hundreds of pilgrims offer prostrations to shrines, statues and thankas The Jokhang temple and the Barkor, the Tibetan heart of the city which still resounds of chants of monks, ritual tromps and pilgrims devotion. The Jokhang still shelters the famous statue of Buddha in glory, the Jowo, which was brought from China by the spouse of the king Songtsen Gampo (VII century) Night in hotel in B/B basis

  • Day 04 Lhasa to Ganden monastery

    After breakfast, you will start your Tibet tour to Ganden monastery which is 60km to the east of holy Lhasa city. The Ganden monastery excursion trip will be dominated by beautiful Tibetan villages with their beautiful traditional houses, prayers flags, many Yaks are grazing on the hill side of Ganden monastery. The monastery was built in around 15th century by the great master Tsongkapa. Tsongkapa was born in Amdo, in the north eastern part of Tibet and he was the founder of the Gelukpa school. After one hour drive, you will reach Ganden monastery, visit the monastery and walk around the monastery which will give you a great panoramic view of the whole Lhasa valley.

  • Day 05 Lhasa to Ngari or Ali by flight

    Early morning, drive to Lhasa airport which will take you one hour. From Lhasa airport, you will take the flight from Lhasa to Ngari which will give you a great mountain flight tour with lots of beautiful lakes, snow capped mountains, Tibetan high plateau. Arrival in Ali Kunsha airport and drive to Ali or Shiquanhe for around one hour. Afternoon, rest and walk around the city.

  • Day 06 Shiquanhe to Mansarovar lake

    Drive into the Indus valley and crossing the Sengge Tsangpo, you will be reaching holy lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash. It is a once in a life time adventure and you will be overwhelmed seeing the Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar for the first time. Afternoon, walk around the Mansarovar and enjoy the great view of Mount Kailash right in front of you.

  • Day 07 Mansarovar to Gyandrak monastery

    While our local team prepares yaks and materials for the pilgrimage, we spend a day for acclimatization and meditation at Gyandrak monastery. Same camp

  • Day 08 Circumambulation of Mont Kailash Camp or lodge

    Following the pilgrims, 3 days (5/6 h walk per day) walk to complete the ritual circumambulation of the mountain and have time to sit and soak ourselves with this exceptional place. The khora is done in one day by some pilgrims, while others do it in full prostrations or pitch their tents to meditate on the foot of the holy mountain. Camp or Lodge

  • Day 09 Circumambulation of Mont Kailash Camp or lodge

    The most difficult day of the trip because we have to cross Tara's pass (Dolma La 5636 m ) before descending the other side to camp near the cave of Milarepa that we will visit the following day. Camp or lodge

  • Circumambulation of Mont Kailash and drive to Mansarovar lake

    Visit the cave of Milarepa (Zutrul Puk, the cave of miracles) then finishing the trip we will stay last night in Mansarovar lake to witness the great mount Kailash and it's blessing.

  • Day 11 Mansarovar-Drongpa-Saga, 4640Mts/435Km Mansarovar hotel on BB

    It's in the vastness of the Changtang, Tibetan plateau, that we measure the Tibetan space from where suddenly emerge herds of gazelles or Kyang, wild donkeys.

  • Day 12 Drive Saga-Shigatse (3900Mts/ 440KM )Mansarovar Hotel on B.B

    Drive along the Tibetan nomad camps on the vast grassland in the western Tibetan high plateau, beautiful Himalayan mountain range, Tibetan farmers with their beautiful Tibetan traditional houses.

  • Day 13 Visit Shigatse and then drive to Gyantse (3950m/90km) Hotel in Gyantse

    Morning, visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery which is dedicated to the tomb stupa of the successive of the Penchen Lama and a giant Bronze made statue of Maitreya or the future Buddha. After lunch, drive to Gyantse which is just one hour and thirty minutes drive from Shigatse. Visit Palchoe monastery and Kubum Pagoda stupa in Gyantse and walk in the old town of Gyantse.

  • Day 14 Gyantse to Lhasa (3650m/260km) Hotel in Lhasa

    After breakfast, drive towards Lhasa, crossing the first mountain pass called Simila and a lovely view of Simila lake, a great view of Mount Noejing Kangsang from road side. You will stopped at Karola glacier for photos. Drive along the Yamdrok lake and a fantastic Panoramic view of Yamdrok lake and Mount Noejing Kangsang from the top of Kampala pass which is the last high mountain pass for you entire Kailash journey. Drive down through many zigzag road and view the Barhmaputra river valley, you will finally reach holy Lhasa with a great Potala Palace.

  • Day 15 Drive to Lhasa Airport (3600m/45km)

    Drive to Lhasa airport and on the way enjoy the beautiful Tibetan farmers and their beautiful Tibetan traditional houses in the Kyichu valley. Arrival in Lhasa airport and say good bye to your Tibetan friends and wish you a safe journey back home.
