Lhasa to Kathmandu Tour is one of the most popular Tibet trips. You will start Tibet trip from Lhasa city by flying to Lhasa from the get-way cities such as Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Xining or from Kathmandu Nepal. You will take a trip to Potala Palace, Jokang temple and Drepung and Sera monasteries in Lhasa.
Start your Lhasa to Kathmandu overland tour from Lhasa city and drive towards southern part of Tibet, visit Yumbu Lhakang, Traduk temple and Samye monastery. Continue Tibet trip to Gyantse through Kampala Pass, holy lake Yamdrok and Karola glacier. On the way, you will see fantastic view of the Yamdrok lake and Mount Nojing Kangsang from the top of the Kampala pass. Gampala pass is the first highest pass during your Tibet trip and it is over 4700m above sea level. Gampala pass is also the border point between the Lhasa city and the western Tibet or known as Tsang region in Tibetan.

The Tibet trips to Gyantse ancient town, lying on a historic trade route between India and Tibet. Gyantse has long been a crucial link for traders and pilgrims journeying across the Himalayan plateau. Gyantse's greatest sight are the Palchoe monastery and Kubum Pagoda stupa, the largest stupa in Tibet and one of it's architectural wonders. The white stupa contains a seemingly endless series of mural-filled chapels and offers outstanding views from it's upper levels. Continue your Tibet trip through Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet and the capital city of the western Tibet. You will be visiting Tashi Lhunpo monastery, the seat of the Penchen Lama and the largest monastery in the Tsang region of Tibet.
Lhasa to Kathmandu overland trip takes you to the great Himalayan mountain range and beautiful natural scenic spot in Tibet. The trip finally ends at the Kyirong Dzongka border between Tibet and Nepal.

  • Day 1 Arrival at Lhasa Gongkar airport and transfer to Lhasa.(3650Mts/ 60Km ) Hotel on B.B

    You will be warmly welcome by our Tibetan guide and driver and accompany you to the holy city of Lhasa along with the view of Bharmaputra, known as Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibetan and a giant stone carved Buddha with more than a thousand years history.

  • Day 2-3 Sightseeing tour in Lhasa, Potala Palace, Jokang temple, Bharkor Bazar, Drepung and Sera monasteries. Hotel on B.B

  • Day 4 Drive from Lhasa-Samye monastery-Tsetang.(3600Mts/ 160Km ) Hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at 8Am and drive along the Lhasa river where it joins the Bharmaputra river at Chushur bridge. You will leave your vehicle at Samye ferry and take a motor boat to Samye monastery by crossing the Bharmaputra river which takes an hour to get to the other side river and then we will take monastery bus or truck to which takes half an hour to get to Samye monastery. After the Samye monastery sightseeing, you will have lunch in the monastery restaurant and then continue your journey back to ferry side and get to Tsetang after half an hour drive. We will directly drive to Yumbu Lhakang which is 30Km outside of Tsetang town. Visit Yumbu Lhakang and Traduk temple on the way back.

  • Day 5 Drive from Tsetang to Gyangtse.(3950Mts/ 360Km ) Hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at around 8.30Am from your hotel and then drive towards Gyangtse through 3 big mountain passes, Kampa La, Karo La, Simila respectively. Karola is the highest pass among them which is over 5000Mts with it's most beautiful glaciers, beautiful Yamdrok lake emerged as coral color from the top of Kampala pass. You will have your lunch at Nakartse country which is just between the Yamdrok lake and Karola glaciers.

  • Day 6 Drive from Gyangtse to Sakya via Shigatse. (4050mts/ 240Km ) Hotel on B.B

    You will start your tour at around 9Am from your hotel and then drive towards Palchoe monastery for a few minutes. Visit Palchoe monastery and Kubum Pagoda stupa. After the sightseeing, You will have your lunch and then continue your journey to Shigatse by passing one of the biggest farming land in Tibet where people grow barley, wheat, different kinds of vegetables. Visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery and then drive to Sakya.

  • Day 7 Drive from Sakya to Old Dingri (4350Mts/ 200KM ) Guest house on B.B

    Visit Sakay monastery, have lunch and then drive to old Dingri through two big mountain passes, Tsola 4500Mts/ Gyatso la 5220Mts and some beautiful villages and the first view of Mount Everest from the foot of Gyatso la pass.

  • Day 8 Drive from Old Dingri to Dram, the Nepal Tibet border.( 2300Km / 188Km )

    You will start your tour at 8.30 Am and drive your last day along the friendship high way through Old Dingri. Old Dingri is one of the popular places to stop a night in order to view mount Everest for tourists especially for those who are unable to go to Mount Everest because of altitude problem. You will drive through Lalung la pass and Thongla pass which are over 5000Mts. From the top of those places, you will say final good bye to the beautiful Himalayan range including Shisha Bangma mountain which is also over 8000Mts and popular to the mountain climbers. Cross the border and reach Nepalsit. End the trip
