- Day 1 Arrival in Lhassa, tsf to city (3650m/60km). Hotel in Lhasa
You will be warmly welcome by our Tibetan guide and driver and accompany you to the holy city of Lhasa along with the view of Bharmaputra, known as YarlungTsangpo in Tibetan and a giant stone carved Buddha with more than a thousand years history.
- Day 2 Lhasa sightseeing: Potala, Jokang temple and Bharkor. Hotel in Lhasa
Sightseeing Potala Palace, winter Palace of the Dalai Lama, Jokang temple, the oldest and most sacred temple of Tibet, Bharkor, the ancient market of Lhasa and the most oldest and sacred pilgrimage path in Lhasa.
- Day 3 Lhsa sightseeing: Drepung& Sera monasteries. Hotel in Lhasa
Sightseeing Drepung monastery, the largest monastery in Tibet and one of the six biggest monasteries of Gelukpa sect in Tibetan Bhuddhism. Sera monastery, the scond largest monastery of Tibet and it is very interesting to watch the monks debating in the monastetry.
- Day 4 Drive to Shigatse (3900m/280km): Hotel in Shigatse
Start your tour after breakfast and drive along the Lhasa river and Bharmaputra river. You will enjoy many beautiful Tibetan villages who are all farmers. The distance from Lhasa to Shigatse is 280Km and it will take you around 5hrs as there is a strict speed control on the way. The road condition is very good nowadays.
Visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery, the seat of the Penchen Lama and the biggest monastery in The Tsang region.
- Day 5 : Drive to Lhatsé then Ngamring Tso-Sangsang (4676m/300km). Camp.
You will start your tour at around 9.0Am from Shigatse and drive to Sangsang through two big mountain passes, Tsola 4500Mts/ Ngamring la 4650Mts and some beautiful villages on the way.The road condition is good and it will take you around 7 hrs to get there.
- Day 6 : Drive Sangsang Raka-Saga-Dargyeling monastery (4640m/212km). Camp
By the South road we join the high Tibetan plateau at more than 4000m in altitude, between Himalaya and Brahmaputra (Tsangpo). Numbers of Tibetan nomad camps, herds of Kyangs (wild donkeys), gazelles and antelopes, and sometimes a mob of jackals howling with the fall of the night or even a lonely wolf...we profit by these camps on the Tibetan plateau to plant our tent for meditation and doing our daily sessions, morning and evening. Camp.
- Day 7 : Drive to Manasarovar (4590m/300km). Guesthouse
Reaching Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash, it is an amazing landscape, the view from the point called Chaktsalkang where we can first see the Lake Mansarovar right infrot of us and Mt Kailash in the distance. It is extremely beautiful to see Lake Mansarovar and Mt Kailash in the distance which could be called as heaven Camp.
- Day 8 : Mansarovar to Dharchen (4660m/60km)
Morning, visit Chiu Gompa and hike around Mansarovar lake with a fantastic view of Mt, Kailash standing still in front of you. After lunch, drive to Dharchen and prepare for your three days Kailash trekking. Your guide need to arrange the pack Yak and Yak men for the Kailash trek and please tell your guide if you also need horses to ride during your Kailash trek.
- Day 9: Kailash trek, Dharchen to Dhiraphuk monastery (5210m/15km)
Following the pilgrims, 3 days (4/5 h walk per day) walk to complete the ritual circumambulation of the mountain and have time to sit and soak ourselves with this exceptional place. The khora is done in one day by some pilgrims, while others do it in full prostrations or pitch their tents to meditate on the foot of the holy mountain.
- Day 10 : Trek to Drolmala (5636m/15km). Camp.
Today is the most difficult day of Kailash trekking because we have to cross Tara's pass (Dolma La 5636 m ) but at the same time, it is the most exciting day of the Kailash trek that you will climb to the highest pass during your entire Kailash tour and you will feel very much proud of being on the top of Drolmala pass, seeing the Mt, Kailash and standing in the beautiful prayer flags and full of snow. Camp.
- Day 11 : Zutrulphuk to Dharchen trek, drive to Baryang (4750m/200km) Camp
visit the cave of Milarepa (ZutrulPuk, the cave of miracles) then finishing the Kailash trek at Dharchen and we will meet our vehicles in Dharchen and transfer to Baryang. Camp.
- Day 12 : Drive Baryang to Sangsang (4676m/375km) Camp
It's in the vastness of the Changtang, Tibetan plateau, that we measure the Tibetan space from where suddenly emerge herds of gazelles or Kyang, wild donkeys. It is truely a beautiful Tibatan land scape. Camp
- Day 13 : Drive Sangsang to Gyantse (3950m/385km) Hotel in Gyantse
After passing several mountain passes, suddenly emerge flocks of Tibetan villages and their farming lands where the Tibetan farmers basically live on farming which is a different way of surviving from the people in Kaialsh area that they live on rearing animals. Reaching in Gyantse which is one of the biggest farming lands in Tibet and it was the trade center between India and Tibet.
- Day 14 : Drive Gyantse to Samye monastery (3600m/290Km) Hotel in Samye
Morning, Visit Palchoe monastery and Kubum Pagoda stupa and after lunch, drive to Samye monastery. On the way, you will enjoy a beautiful landscape of Yamdrok lake and Noejing Kangsang snow mountain with it's beautiful Karola glacier.
- Day 15 : Drive Samye moanstery to Tsetang (3600m/60km) Hotel in Tsetang
Morning, visit Samye monastery and monks ceremony in the assembly hall and then continue your Tibet travel to Tsetang. Tsetang is the cradle of Tibet where you can visit the first castle of Tibet called Yumbu Lhakang and first temple called Traduk temple.
- Day 16 : Tsetang to Gongkar airport (3600m/115km)
After breakfast, drive to Gongkar airport and enjoy the last beautiful Tibet travel landscape with Yarlung valley and Bharmaputra river. After one hour and half drive, you will reach Gongkar airport and fly back home.
